AISI 304

AISI 304 ( DIN 1.4301) stainless steel plate, analogue of GOST - 08Х18Н10, which includes 8% of nickel, 18% of chromium, is used in many fields. In view of high chromium amount, strong oxide film, which reliably protects rolled metal products against high humidity, temperature loads and chemical aggressions, forms on the metal surface.

In view of unique chemical composition of low-carbon stainless steel, stainless steel plate made of AISI 304 steel has exclusive technical characteristics, in particular:

• İt offers the highest possible corrosion persistence (protective layer of chromium oxide), which protects the metal against rust even in case of mechanical damage of the surface; and it makes possible the manufacturing of the parts made of this material that are not afraid of climatic, acid and alkaline environments;
• It differs in high elasticity and hardness; is perfectly processed;
• It offers wide opportunities for manifold welding;
• It is perfectly polished and has attractive surface texture that allows to use the material for decoration of designer interiors

AISI 304 low-carbon stainless steel plates are used in industrial production of different packages, containers, receivers, tanks and other industrial equipment. The pipes for the liquid transportation, equipment for storage and transportation of the chemicals are also made of it. In the food industry, this steel is the base for the production equipment, containers for transportation and storage of beverages (juices, milk, drinking water etc.), and is used in the manufacture of cutlery and kitchen appliances, accessories, and household goods.

Plate thickness varies from 0.4 mm to 50 mm.

AISI 430

To this date, AISI 430 stainless steel plate is the most widely used corrosion-resistant ferritic chromium steel of general destination. Plates made of this steel have:

• high strength and mechanical properties;
• high corrosion persistence including atmospheric persistence. Corrosion persistence is ensured by high chromium amount and a low carbon amount in the steel;
• good processibility

Depending on its exploitation characteristics, AISI 430 stainless steel is improved Russian analogue of 08X17T grade steel, which, in turn, in accordance with GOST 5632-72, "is recommended as substitute for 12X18H10T and 12X18H9T grade steel"

AISI 316

AISI 316 grade stainless steel plate consists in the products with the following characteristics:

• steel grades: low-carbon AISI 316L (local analogue is 03Х17Н14М3 steel) and AISI 316Ti with increased titanium amount (local analogue is 10X17H13M2T steel);

This type of steel consists in low-carbon stainless steel with an austenitic structure. This is AISI 304 steel grade, improved by alloying with molybdenum. It also includes nickel and chromium.

AISI 316 stainless steel plate is most widely used in chemical production. Tanks are made from it for storage of substances aggressive in their characteristics, which are acid substances, threatening corrosion for the metal.

Besides, AISI 316 stainless steel plate is involved in the manufacturing ducts, pipelines, boilers of industrial destination; equipment for use in corrosive environments. For example, in the sea water.

AISI 316 stainless steel plates are used for the manufacturing pharmaceutical and food equipment, as well in pulp and paper and mining fields.
