Stainless pipes are made of different steel grades in seamless or welding way. The first one is initially obtained in necessary shape, then they are extended and calibrated. Manufacturing features allow to obtain the pipes with very thick walls. The price of such a product is relatively high, that is why they are used only if necessary. In stainless pipes production by the second way rolled sheet metal products and different welding methods are used:

  • plasma;
  • laser;
  • by tungsten electrode in inert gas;
  • electron-beam;
  • point welding with high frequency.

Scope of stainless pipes

In view of positive characteristics, stainless steel is popular material for the manufacturing pipes, which are widely used in different fields of the economy:

  • chemical and food industries;
  • construction;
  • power economy;
  • car manufacturing and shipbuilding;
  • military complex, etc.

Stainless steel pipes are used to create:

  • water supply and heating systems;
  • details of technological lines;
  • chimneys;
  • supports and other metal structures;
  • cooling systems of nuclear reactors.

Stainless pipes are also used in everyday life. In view of aesthetic appearance, they are able to be often seen as decorative elements, fences, handrails.
